Happy New Year and welcome to the first Investment Insights for 2012.

In the first edition we have SOME EXCELLENT INVESTMENT ADVICE: Don't Play The Losers' Game from Henry Blodget of Business Insider. Specifically, Henry advises that if you want to invest intelligently, the first thing you should do is ignore 99.9% of what you hear in the financial media. Why? Because, if your goal is to invest intelligently, what you hear in the financial media is mostly distracting noise that will trick you into making expensive mistakes. Adding further weight to this article was a recent post by Daniel Minihan on his blog titled ‘At least they are consistently wrong!’ which highlighted predictions from late 2010 that in the light of the end of 2011 look a little over exuberant!

With a new year ahead of us many of you may have resolved to get your financial affairs in order and there is no time like the present. If you would like to speak with one of our advisers click on the links below and get started today.
