The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has confirmed that it will work with entities impacted by the recent floods in Queensland and other States that are facing difficulties in lodging their accounts and/or paying lodgement fees.  ASIC has also announced that it may be able to assist entities that have lost their records by providing replacement ASIC documents and information from its registers. 

ASIC can be contacted on 1300 300 630 or online.  If you wish to discuss your situation with ASIC you will need to provide the following information:
  • your name and contact details;
  • your entity name and company registration or licence number;
  • details of your current situation; and
  • details of the review fee, late payment or late lodgement fee, or the records that have been lost and what you would like ASIC to search for in its registers.
